Every two weeks the LCBO releases dozens of limited supply wines which are are not practical for widespread distribution through the Vintages section. The next release is this Saturday, October 31.
While the vast majority of these cost well in excess of $20 a bottle (and some sell upwards of $250), there are always a few hidden treasures to be found at bargain prices.
In this release we have found two that you should try.
Graham Beck Methode Cap Classique Brut Rose (South Africa - $19.95)

An aromatic blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, the tradition of terrific values from South Africa carries on here right from the time the lively bubbles emerge.
Persistent lively flavours of red cherry and red berry fruit dominate in this fresh tasting wine.
A great wine to serve with appetizers, something different.
ABV 12.0%, 11 g/L residual sugar.
Joliesse Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 (California - $17.00)

This is big, fruity and a touch sweet, a real crowd pleaser at a superb price.
With abundant flavours of ripe cherries, raspberries, plums and blackberries with oak and vanilla, this is a rich wine with a long smooth finish.
We would serve it with grilled red meats.
ABV 13.5%, 10 g/L residual sugar.
Reminder, these wines tend to be in short supply so not every outlet will have them on hand but you can order them through your local store at no additional cost.
