Bread & Butter Pinot Noir ($15.95, reduced from $18.95)

United States: California

It's very unusual to find such a good Pinot Noir under $20, and this particular one has appeared as a Vivino Best Buy at prices between $20 and $40!

Full aromas of red fruit with rich red and black cherry and raspberry tastes with oak and cassis notes in the background. Medium bodied with a long smooth finish. Pair it with Atlantic salmon dishes.

ABV 14.0%, 7 g/L residual sugar.

Matua Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc ($14.95, reduced from $17.95) New Zealand: Hawke's Bay

From the warmer North Island of New Zealand, this wine regularly features on Vivino’s Top 25 Under $20 lists.

Lighter, fruitier and less intense than most of the country’s Sauvignon Blancs, expect flavours of grapefruit, pear and citrus fruits. The acidity is also more subdued, making it a good pairing with Asian salads and citrus dressings.

ABV 12.0%, 4 g/L residual sugar.

Gerard Bertrand Gris Blanc Rose ($13.30, reduced from $14.30) France: Languedoc

A crisp, refreshing dry rose for summer. A great price from the increasingly popular south of France.

Very pale pink/salmon colour with tastes of peaches, citrus and red fruits with a hint of sea salt in a medium body. Fresh with a nice balance, a great aperitif wine.

ABV 13.0%, 2 g/L residual sugar.

McGuigan Black Label Shiraz ($8.95, reduced from $9.95)

Australia: Southeastern Australia

Terrific value for those who prefer a lighter style, off dry Shiraz.

Dark plums, blackcurrants and berries are supported by red fruit and oak notes. Gentle acidity with balanced tannins gives a smooth wine with a medium length finish.

ABV 12.5%, 11 g/L residual sugar.

Ruffino Orvieto Classico ($10.95, reduced from $12.95) Italy: Umbria

Perennially popular in Europe, the Orvieto appeals to those looking for an alternative to bone dry white wines.

Crisp and fruity with tastes of peaches and pears, apples and lemons with some minerality. Nothing complicated here, just easy drinking. We are not exactly sure why, but it does go well with sushi!

ABV 12%, residual sugar 12 g/L.

Beringer Brothers Bourbon Barrel Red Blend ($15.95, reduced from $18.95)

United States: California

This enormously popular classic California fruit bomb is a regular on Vivino’s Best Under $20 lists.

Expect dark fruit on the nose, leading to additional tastes of dark plum, chocolate and oak from the barrel aging. Bold, smooth and oaky with soft tannins and low acidity, it is easy to see why this is such a crowd-pleaser. Perfect with soy maple glazed pork loin chops.

ABV 14.5%, 14 g/L residual sugar.
