Halos de Jupiter Cotes du Rhone
Vivino Rating: 3.8
France: Cotes du Rhone
Cotes du Rhone wines are popular for their easy drinking qualities and the Halos de Jupiter represents great value from famous French winemaker Michel Gassier.
Blending Grenache (80%) and Syrah (20%) grapes from both banks of the Rhone River results in a fruit forward wine with dark plums, ripe blackberries and raspberry jam tastes with Christmas cake notes.
It is a rich, medium to full bodied wine but quite dry and has good acidity, Wine Spectator has given it a 91 ranking.
Our food wine pairing guide suggests serving it with roast stuffed chicken or duck.
